Why Greens Powders are NOT Worth it

With the cold front coming in, holiday season in full-force, and the new year around the corner, it is that time of year where many tend to set new nutrition goals ๐Ÿ“

While introducing green powders in your routine sounds great in theory, here are 4 MAJOR cons!๐Ÿซข

1๏ธโƒฃ Supplements are regulated differently than food!

In non-3rd party tested supplements, the labels tell far from the whole story. It may not contain ANY of the vitamins or minerals it claims to contain on its label ๐Ÿ”Ž

Even if it IS 3rd party tested, a powder will be stripped of the polyphenols, fiber, pantothenic acid & biotin (lost via dehydration), and many other nutrients that are naturally present in fresh vegetables ๐Ÿคญ

2๏ธโƒฃ Talk about EXPENSIVE! It is far more economical to purchase fruits and vegetables in the store when comparing the micronutrient cost per serving.

BONUS: A money-saving tip here is the fact that nutrients are not lost in the process of freezing produce! Feel free to shop the frozen section to pick up your veggies to lower the bill ๐Ÿ’ต
